 Danny van der Wielen writes alternative pop songs where personal stories meet layered arrangements. With a distinctive voice and subtle guitar playing, he builds his music patiently, layer by layer.

From 2026 onward, his live performances take shape as a four-piece band alongside intimate solo shows. His songs balance vulnerability and energy, with a strong focus on atmosphere and meaning. Drawing comparisons to the intimacy of Bon Iver and Chance Peña, and the dynamics of Medium Build and Coldplay’s Parachutes era.

Danny is currently working closely with producer Marien Dorleijn (Moss, Opera Alaska; productions for Robin Kester and Blaudzun) on his debut release, due in 2026. As a first introduction, a live session recorded at the Verkadefabriek in ’s-Hertogenbosch was recently released.

The new music emerged during a period of major personal change, when music became urgent again as a way to process impact. Since then, Danny has been working with renewed focus on writing, recording and performing. With over fifteen live shows in 2025 and the upcoming releases already recorded.
